Bus Tours of London

If you are in London for a short period of time the best way to see all the major attractions within 24 hours is riding the London Original Bus Tour.  The Original Bus Tour is the most popular tour available.  It is a hop-on hop-off service with over 80 stops.
 
One ticket permits you to ride all routes, the main route being accompanied by a live guide. Included in the ticket price are free walking tours,  a free river cruise over the Thames and a free kids clubs for any younger members. Currently ticket prices are £14 per child and £28 per adult.  These can be purchased during the reservation process on our website or at the hotel on your arrival.

Magic of London Tour and Total London Tour

Full Day Tours

One of the best ways to see the sights in London is on a bus tour; if you have a full day to spare then you should take The Magic of London tour or the Total London Tour. They both cover the must see sights of London, including a private viewing of the iconic Tower of London. Stops are also included for lunch.  On the Magic of London Tour a special afternoon tea is included at the world famous Harrods department store. And on the Total London Tour a flight on the London Eye is included.
 
Tower of London

Your luxury coach will pick you up and head towards the Tower of London, passing a number of important London landmarks including Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. You will then start a private tour of the Tower of London, away from the crowds with your own Yeoman Warder. The tour starts before the doors are opened to the general public, this means you will also have private accesses to the crown jewels and be the first tour of the day to see them.
After your tour of the Tower of London, you will have some time to yourself to visit other sights nearby such as Traitors Gate, the armouries and the Bloody Tower.

Changing of the Guard

You will then be taken to The Mall to watch the Changing of the Guard* ceremony. Tourists flock here from around the globe to watch one of the Queens Foot Guard Household Regiments march from St. James Palace to Buckingham Palace. They are dressed in tunics and busby hats which is a sight not to be missed.

Thames River Cruise & Pub Lunch

For another view of London, you will be taken on a short cruise on the River Thames. Here you can get great views of St. Paul's Cathedral and Shakespeare’s Globe, a perfect opportunity for some pictures. After the river cruise, you will head to Whitehall where you can enjoy a traditional English pub lunch. Afterwards there will also an opportunity to take photos at Westminster Abbey.

St Paul's Cathedral

After lunch the tour heads to St Pauls Cathedral. You will have a couple hours here to explore this magnificent Cathedral, home to the tombs of Nelson and Wellington. The tour of the Cathedral designed by Sir Christopher Wren in 1673 includes listening to the 1695 organ that Mendelssohn once played and also the Whispering Gallery. Here your tour guide will let you test the unique acoustics, normally not open to tour groups. **

Afternoon Tea at Harrods or London Eye

The Magic of London Tour takes in afternoon tea at Harrods; the tour departs St Pauls and heads to Knightsbridge, to the world famous department store, Harrods. The tour concludes here, not before you enjoy tea, scones, jam and clotted cream at Harrods Georgian restaurant. Afterwards you can also enjoy some shopping in store, and the rest of this expensive area. The Total London Tour includes a flight on the London Eye. After visiting St Pauls Cathedral, you travel to the South Bank of the river Thames and take a journey on the London eye which will take you 135 meters above central London, giving you fantastic views of the city.

The open top bus tour is a great opportunity to get some fantastic shots of London’s most famous buildings, Such as Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye. There are also a number of opportunities to stop for photos including St. Paul’s Cathedral, designed by Sir Christopher Wren and where Princess Diana, married Prince Charles. Your opportunity to see London from another angle, on a Thames river cruise, you will pass famous landmarks such as Shakespeare’s Globe, Cleopatra’s Needle and London Bridge. The boat docks at Westminster pier, before you join the open top and make your way to Buckingham Palace, for the Changing of the Guard ceremony. Here soldiers, dressed in tunics and busbies march to military music.

Madame Tussauds

The tour finishes at Madame Tussauds; entry is included to this London icon. Inside you will find waxworks of historical figures, members of the Royal family, A List film stars, TV stars and sports stars. There are 14 interactive zones, as well as the Marvel Super Heroes 4D movie experience. There is also an opportunity to scare yourself silly in the SCREAM zone. Jack the Ripper Tour

3 Hour Evening Tour

Jack the Ripper was London’s infamous unidentified serial killer, who took hold in the late 1880’; it was thought that he was responsible for five or more killings in London’s East End. His victims tended to be ‘Ladies of the Night’ and were found with mutilated bodies.
Jack the Ripper was never caught and there are different theory’s surround the murders around that time. However the Jack the Ripper tour offers great insight into London in the late nineteenth century.

Coach Drive through Dark London


The Jack the Ripper tour starts off with a drive, to see the darker side of the Capital. Passing the old Baily where many people were sent to death for their crimes and where a number of people were publicly hanged. You can also see a plaque showing where Scottish rebel leader William Wallace was tortured. You will be able to see the Royal London Hospital which was home to the world famous Elephant Man. Along the way you will be able to hear local tales butchering barbers and great train robbers, as well as some stories about London’s famous gangsters.

Jack the Ripper Walk

After uncovering London’s dark side, you will then be escorted on the Jack the Ripper Walk. Stepping back in time like it was 1888 when terror gripped the East End; you follow his murder trail, uncovering mysteries surrounding the killer and his victims. You can see some of the murder sites and there will be plenty of opportunity to discuss the killings and the killer.
A Drink with Sherlock Holmes

The tour ends near Trafalgar Square, here you will visit the Sherlock Holmes Pub, which showcases a wide range of memorabilia. If you’re hungry after the tour then you can grab some food here. It’s a great place to rest and discuss all that you have seen.

Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Bath

This tour covers some of the biggest tourist attractions in the south of England, all in one day. Travelling out of the Capital in a luxury air-conditioned coach.

Windsor Castle

The tour starts at Windsor Castle, which has been home to British monarchs since William the Conqueror. The castle is now the largest continuously occupied castle in the world and has a wealth of history to be discovered. The tour of the Castle starts before other tourists enter so you can fully explore it, including the state apartments & St. George’s Chapel. There is also time to explore the town of Windsor, which has a number of traditional shops and historic pubs. This part of the tour also includes a traditional pub lunch, before you head out again.

Stonehenge

A World Heritage site, Stonehenge is a must visit on any UK holiday. The tour, takes a scenic route, to this fascinating historical site, where you have time to stand in awe, at what was achieved nearly 5000 years ago. It is still not clear what this famous collection of stone was built for, with many theories out there, after visiting it, you can draw your own conclusions.

Bath

The final stop on this great tour is the beautiful Georgian city of Bath.  You will be taken round this great city, so you can take in its striking architecture, including the famous terraced crescents. The tour also includes a visit to Bath Abbey and Pulteney Bridge which overlooks the river Avon. There will be some time for afternoon tea in the Pump Rooms or you can enjoy a spot of shopping. Stonehenge

First stop on the tour after you leave London is Stonehenge; it is a World Heritage site and archaeologists believe it was built anywhere from 3000 BC to 2000 BC. The circular monument made up of up-right bluestones has had experts guessing for a long time, as to what its purpose was. It is a popular destination for spiritualists with many people heading hear for solstice festivals. After marvelling at the wonder of Stonehenge, your coach will take you on a scenic journey across the Salisbury Plain to the Georgian City of Bath.

Bath and the Cotswolds

The City of Bath is also a World Heritage site, thanks to its fantastic architecture, it was first established by the Romans in AD60 as a spa town, one of a number in the UK, it became a popular by the Georgians as a spa destination. And after marvelling at the exquisite buildings, you will be taken by your coach through the beautiful countryside, of the Cotswolds, where you can take in breath-taking scenery and view the quaint market towns with their traditional façade.

Stratford-upon-Avon

The final stop of the day is Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. It is also home to the Royal Shakespeare Company. The City sightseeing ‘hop on hop off’ are a great way to see the best sites, there are stops all around Edinburgh, near must see places, such as the Edinburgh Dungeon, the Museum of Childhood and the National Museum of Scotland. You can see the top spots in the Old Town, such as Grassmarket, or the New Town such as Charlotte Square which is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Look out for the Burns Monument and the Old Observatory along the way as well as the Palace of Holyroodhouse, which is the official residence in Scotland of Her Majesty the Queen.

Edinburgh Castle

Make the most of the fast entry ticket to Edinburgh Castle and you can spend an afternoon learning a lot about the history of the city and Scotland as a whole. The Castle is situated atop of volcanic rock, and overlooks the vast city of Edinburgh. Since the reign of David I in the 12th century there has been a royal castle here. Over the centuries its role changed and by the 17th century its principal role was as a military base. The cannons can be heard bellowing across the city every day as the One O’clock Gun s fired every day at precisely 13:00, excepting Sunday, Good Friday and Christmas Day.

Welcome to Paris Day Trip

Full Day

A day trip to the French Capitol City of Paris couldn’t be easier from the Jesmond Dene hotel. As we are right near the main hub for the continent, it’s just a short walk to St. Pancras Station, from here you will be escorted on-board the Eurostar and head out under the Channel to Gare du Nord station in the centre of Paris. You can enjoy a fully escorted trip to Paris, with a coach tour and a professional guide. Plus you will be back in time for a late evening meal, easy.

Panoramic Tour

Upon arrival in Paris you will be taken on a panoramic coach tour of the city passing Le Louvre, Place de La Concorde and Musee D’Orsay before arriving at the Eiffel tower for a great photo opportunity. You can have lunch in the Eiffel Tower Restaurant which is situated on the bottom level of the tower, so you can see great views whilst eating. Fast track tickets can be arranged for the Eiffel tower so you can make it to its highest point if you wish.
 
River Seine

After lunch you will be taken on a leisure cruise along the River Seine which runs through the centre of Paris.  Here you can see the some of Paris’s most famous sights including Notre Dame. Afterwards there will be time to take a tour of Le Louvre, the guides will be able to organise fast track tickets for here as well. Or you can spend some time exploring the shops and cafes on your own. Before heading off in the evening, back to London on the Eurostar.
